Practical machine answer
An industrial circular knitting machine does not have one meaningful price without a configuration. Cost changes with machine family, diameter, gauge, feeders, jacquard or pile systems, take-down, controls, accessories, delivery scope and service. Buyers should compare a defined project total, not an isolated headline price.

A plain single-jersey platform and an electronic double-jacquard machine solve different problems, so their prices should not be normalized as though only diameter differs. Even within one family, needle count, feeder equipment, open-width handling, quality monitoring and included change parts can materially alter the offer. State the target fabric first and require each bidder to respond to the same line items.
Budget for freight, insurance, import charges, unloading, utilities, installation, technician travel, yarn trials and operator training. Initial needles, sinkers, lubricants and critical electronic or selection spares belong in the startup plan. Downtime while an omitted part is sourced can cost more than a small difference between two purchase prices.
Clarify currency, validity, payment stages, Incoterm, packing, lead time, warranty start, acceptance and service response. Record which party provides lifting, accommodation and local transport. A lower number with an ex-works boundary cannot be compared directly with a delivered, installed and trial-supported scope until the exclusions are added back.
| Cost layer | Items to include |
|---|---|
| Machine | Exact configuration, options and change parts |
| Delivery | Packing, freight, insurance, duties and unloading |
| Startup | Utilities, installation, trial yarn and training |
| Ownership | Wear parts, service, energy, waste and downtime risk |
Practical limit: A useful request for quotation includes a fabric sample, yarn data, required output basis and acceptance method; otherwise suppliers may price different machines under similar names.
